WIDE RECEIVERS

Odell Beckham, Jr. (2014)

OBJ made the Pro Bowl and collected a couple ROY awards (including the Pro Football Focus All-Rookie Team) thanks to his 91 grabs for 1,305 yards and 12 touchdowns. His 108.8 yards per game average topped the league.

Hakeem Nicks (2009)

The 21-year-old UNC Tarheel started six of the 14 games he played in his rookie season and was targeted 74 times. Nicks ended up with 47 receptions for 790 yards and six touchdowns.

Honorable Mentions: Bobby Johnson (1984), Lionel Manuel (1984), Earnest Gray (1979)

TIGHT END

Jeremy Shockey (2002)

J-Shock took the league by storm with 74 catches and 894 yards and two touchdowns in 14 starts, none bigger than his jump ball over Brian Dawkins in the last game of the regular season to clinch a postseason berth. The 22-year-old Hurricane was voted to the Pro Bowl and named an All-Pro. It’s hard to believe that the Oklahoman never crossed the 1,000 yard mark in a season, nor averaged more than 60 yards per game in any year. His most productive year came in 2005.

Honorable Mention: Mark Bavaro (1985), Bob Tucker (1970)
