Lawrence Taylor (1981)

LT started all 16 games his rookie year at the age of 22 and is the sole reason why the NFL began recording sack statistics. He went to the Pro Bowl as an All-Pro with an AV of 17, which he tied four more times (1983, 1985, 1986, 1990) and exceeded once (1989).

Gary Reasons (1984)

The 22 year-old inside linebacker started 11 of the 16 games he played his first season, intercepting 2 passes and recovering 3 fumbles to go with his lone sack. No data on tackles, but I assume it was probably high double digits, low triple digits.

Jerry Hillebrand (1963)

J-Hill, as no one calls him, notched 5 interceptions for 54 yards and a score in a freshman effort.

Honorable Mentions: Andy Headen (1983), Bill Winter (1962), Jessie Armstead (1993), Jacquian Williams (2011), Chase Blackburn (2005), Reggie Torbor (2004), Harry Carson (1976), Sam Huff (1956), Jim Files (1970), Mathias Kiwanuka (2006), Devon Kennard (2014), Dan Lloyd (1976), Henry Davis (1968)
