CONCLUSIONS:

  1. For a team that had the lowest payroll, they could’ve gone anywhere from 9-7 to 12-4. Coach Tom Coughlin really did get the most of what he was given, but he still ultimately cost the Giants 2-4 wins based on poor decision-making.
  2. The Giants had some pretty bad-to-mediocre free agent signings last year.
  3. MAX OUT the salary cap in 2016 to get Eli his third Super Bowl win, so we can justify his bloated contract.
  4. Seriously, why doesn’t Eli restructure his contract to reflect his “true value”, so the Giants can surround him with better offensive linemen and more playmakers to give him a better chance at success?
  5. You get what you pay for. Yes, there were more high value players than low value, but that’s due to guys who weren’t projected as starters (with lower contracts) having to take most snaps due to injury. Keep your big earners healthy and get smart in free agency.
