Perry Riley, ILB (Washington Redskins)

Age: Will be 28

2016 Cap Hit: $5,049,804

Likeliness Grade for Trade / Cut: B

Trade/Cut: $1,049,804 in 2016 dead cap ($4M savings)

Perry missed 7 games last season and 2 games in 2014, but had respectable campaigns in 2012 and 2013, notching more than 70 solo tackles each of those years. The Washington Post reports it “wouldn’t be surprising to see the team replace Riley, citing his inability to stay healthy. Fox Sports listed inside linebacker as one of the positions the Redskins need to address in the offseason, suggesting Riley be one of the six players the team moves on from in 2016. The biggest knock on Riley seems to be his inconsistency; sometimes a sure tackler, at other times whiffing on tackles and exposed in pass coverage. With a new training staff, new coaches, new outlook, maybe Riley can make the jump from Washington’s 3-4 into the Giants 4-3 and a division title to stick it to his former team.
