Cope was a two-time Pro Bowler and First Team All-Pro who made the NFL’s 1930s All-Decade Team and was a member of the 1938 NFL Championship team. He played in almost 100 games over 10 seasons. At 6 feet 2 inches and 225 pounds, Cope would be a solid fullback or linebacker these days. He was also born in Anaconda, Montana, which is by far the coolest sounding place of birth I’ve ever heard of.
