3. Keenan Robinson, MLB

The sole fresh addition on this list, Robinson can come out of 2016 a winner whether he starts more games at middle linebacker than Jasper Brinkley or not.

Mixed reviews follow K-Rob off the Washington Redskins roster. Above-average coverage skills—which the Giants can never say no to these days—and a slightly higher ceiling outweigh injury proneness and subpar assertiveness.

The economics of his one-year contract allow Robinson to freely embody the heir of Antonio Pierce (by mere association), and the organization will gladly see him compete.

Conversely, if Brinkley’s moderate run-eating prowess and familiarity calling the defense steal back his own job, then at least depth is still reassured with the addition of Robinson.

Time will tell if it’s enough to shy away from second-or-third-round reinforcement (though it is Jerry Reese after all), or motivate the ascension of Devon Kennard and J.T. Thomas either way. No matter what, Robinson is guaranteed his chances throughout the entire season.

McAdoo and the Giants are winners in this development, as well, since Uani Unga is seemingly planted on the bench.
