The Giants selected Tom Coughlin’s son-in-law Boston College guard Chris Snee 34th overall pick in the second round in the 2004 NFL Draft, two picks after Georgia tight end Ben Watson went to New England and one pick after Auburn linebacker Karlos Dansby went to Arizona.
The four-time Pro Bowler (2008 – 2010, 2012), 1-time First Team All-Pro (2008), and 2-time Super Bowl champion started all 141 games he played in for Big Blue and didn’t miss a game from 2005 through Week 5 of the 2011 season – a streak of 101 consecutive contests. His best season came in 2008 when he helped both Brandon Jacobs and Derrick Ward to 1,000 rushing yards each. He was also a fourth alternate to the NFC Pro Bowl team in 2004 and a third alternate in 2005.
