#2 Justin Pugh, G (25)

2016 Cap Hit: $2,655,513

Justin Pugh signed his 4 year rookie contract with the Giants in 2013, which included a $4,449,744 signing bonus, $7,960,128 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $2,086,475. In 2016, Pugh will earn a base salary of $1,157,307 and a roster bonus of $385,770. Pugh has a cap hit of $2,655,513 while his dead money value is $2,269,743.

Pugh enjoyed his best season yet after moving from tackle to guard, lining up in between Flowers and Richburg. Justin played almost 87% of snaps in 2015 and earned a true value score of 52.63, which placed him 57th out of 85 eligible guards.

Andrew Jervis of PFF called Pugh “a reason for hope” for the Giants in future years, adding that Justin was “the most consistent performer for the Giants offense in 2015.” Fans have been calling for Pugh to get a contract extension sooner rather than later. I can’t see how the Giants don’t make him a sweet offer.
