Our Analysts Hand Out New York Giants 2016 Draft Grades

Round 5 Pick 10: Paul Perkins (RB, UCLA)
“Another running back? Why not? No one in the Giants’ current RB committee is stepping up to be “the guy,” so why not throw another body at the problem? Perkins is a shifty back with the potential to give the Giants a viable ground attack again.”

“It’s a relief, first of all, that the Giants ended up addressing running back near the bottom of the draft, where value is justifiably vouched for. Perkins can boldly be one of a poor man’s Ezekiel Elliott in the sense that he could line up all three downs if ever need be. His vision, shiftiness, balance, versatility and natural look are all relishable. Perkins basically does a little bit of what each Giants running back can do and encompasses it all in one body. In this committee now turned federation, Andre Williams or Orleans Darkwa are suddenly on the outside looking in if Perkins can shed a display of power through his smaller frame.”
