It’s been reported that New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is dating Khloe Kardashian and that means trouble for the Pro Bowl superstar and Big Blue’s postseason aspirations.
You’ve seen this before. Professional athlete at the top of his game finds love or lust with a celebrity and his production suffers. Dallas Cowboys fans blamed Jessica Simpson for cursing Tony Romo during the 2007 season, which ended in the Divisional Round of the playoffs on their home turf to the eventual Super Bowl Champion Giants. Just last season, there were grumblings around Green Bay about the curse of Olivia Munn sucking the mojo out of Packers MVP Aaron Rodgers.
Detroit Tigers fireballer Justin Verlander has regressed since his relationship with Kate Upton. Rihanna was blamed for former Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp crumbling. Before Tom Brady won his most recent Super Bowl against the Seattle Seahawks, many football fans and gossip bloggers believed Gisele Bundchen was a curse. Brady’s counterpart in that Super Bowl, Russell Wilson, might be suffering from “The Curse of Ciara“.
Now, Odell Beckham, Jr. is reportedly dating Khloe Kardashian, a celebrity who made Cosmo’s list of Celebs Who Cursed Their Guys. In Khloe’s case, it was NBA player Lamar Odom. Hell, dating ANY of the Kardashians is a recipe for disaster (see: Kris Humphries, Reggie Bush, Kanye West).
