After 185 games in the NFL, New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning has 98 wins for a win percentage of 53%, which is essentially a coin flip. Sometimes, Manning’s play is to blame, but other times, it’s his supporting cast. Here are six NFL teams Manning’s played well against but can’t beat.

There are a handful of teams in the league that Eli Manning has struggled with. Maybe it’s the teams’ color schemes or their logos, but when the Giants franchise passing leader sees their uniforms, he can’t seem to figure them out. Manning has terrible passer ratings against the Baltimore Ravens, Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings, Denver Broncos, and Cincinnati Bengals and has the losing records to back it up. Unfortunately, the Giants’ 2016 schedule has Eli facing four of those teams, so it will take a total team effort to triumph.

However, Eli has earned an above average passer rating against some teams, but still has a losing record against them. Typically, a quarterback’s high passer rating translates to wins for that QB’s team, yet against these six NFL teams, for whatever reason, the Giants fall short despite exceptional efforts from Manning.

One team is a divisional opponent. One is all the way across the country. Two teams have familiar connections. One team is somewhat inexplicable and the remaining team… well, it’s complicated.

This list doesn’t include three teams that Eli has a losing record against in the regular season despite an above average passer rating of 84 or more: the Green Bay Packers (2-3 record, 87.6 rating), the Dallas Cowboys (11-12 record, 90.4 rating), and the New England Patriots (1-2 record, 97.1 rating). Why? Because Eli has been very successful against them in the playoffs. Postseason wins trump regular season wins, folks.

Let’s dispense with the anticipation and get to our list…
