#10 Odell Beckham Jr.

Simply put, his production is other worldly, his athleticism is unmatched and his presence on the field is something very few players possess.  This presence is what sets him apart; Beckham has already been compared to arguably the greatest defensive player of all time, in terms of what they bring to the field and how they can impact the game.  The only footage I have seen of Lawrence Taylor is from NFL Films but watching footage from the late 80’s, I can see something different about LT.  His fluidity, power, and sheer ability on the field set him apart from 21 other professionals.  Beckham is the same way.

Playing on the other side of the ball as a wide receiver, you can’t witness Beckham’s sheer power and will by running through running backs and offensive tackles or tearing down quarterbacks. His talent resides in his route running, tenacity and of course, his hands.  A generational receiver is really nothing without his hands, and Beckham has brought that to another level.  Modern times have brought his catches to the forefront, and perhaps unfortunately, the other facets of his game are often overlooked.  He has shown the elusiveness and reflex of a dominant slot receiver and the jumping ability and catch radius of a true number one receiver.

Beckham’s stats speak for themselves, and there is no question that they validate him as a top 3 receiver in the league.  But it’s his ability, work ethic, and versatility that have landed him on this list.  Other Giant receivers have put up numbers, but Beckham’s trajectory already points well beyond any in recent memory.  His future success will determine how high he deserves to be on “All-Time” lists, but through only two seasons he has shown to be one of the 10 greatest Giants of all time.
