Tier Two Quarterbacks:

6. Ben Roethlisberger missed four games due to injury and battled injuries a lot during the season. Big Ben had some trouble with turnovers as he had 16 interceptions in 12 games. Of his 12 games he had five multi-interception games. Roethlisberger however did have 21 touchdown passes in his 12 games. Big Ben had eight games were he passed for over 300 yards. Roethlisberger put up insane passing numbers in the games he played. The team is loaded with weapons and Le’Veon Bell will return. Roethlisberger should have another great year.

7. The Giants’ Eli Manning was discussed in depth in the opening of this article, but I want to repeat some of those things. Eli Manning has had back to back seasons with 4,400 plus passing yard seasons in a row and two seasons of 30 plus touchdown. Manning had a career high six touchdown passes in last season against the New Orleans Saints. Manning will have plenty of weapons this season. Manning has Odell Beckham, one of the top receivers in the game, and he also has Shane Vereen, Will Tye, Rashad Jennings and perhaps Victor Cruz. Sterling Shepard was drafted by the Giants in the second round this past May, and he can help Manning to perhaps have his best career season. Manning has never missed a game in his career, and durability is huge in fantasy.

8. Arizona’s Carson Palmer was fantastic in the 2015 season. Perhaps some people just remember his horrible performance in the NFC Championship game but lets not forget about his full body of work. Palmer looked better than ever since coming back from his ACL injury. Palmer stayed healthy all season. He had 35 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

9. The Patriots’ Tom Brady is suspended the first four games of the season. Had he not been he would have easily been in my top three at the position. He is suspended for four games, and this might detract from his value. Whether it is one or two quarterbacks, you can survive four weeks with a late round quarterback. Brady led the NFL in touchdown passes last season. He had 36 touchdowns and just seven interceptions. Tom Brady will be fired up when he comes back.

10. The Chargers’ Philip Rivers always puts up great numbers when it comes to passing yardage and touchdowns. He also never gets hurt. Rivers is one of the toughest and most durable guys in the league. Last year Rivers had 29 touchdowns, 13 interceptions and 4,793 passing yards. Rivers lost so many weapons last year on offense that I believe his statistics suffered.
