The importance of Janoris Jenkins cannot be understated.  The fifth-year pro fills a huge void, left behind by ex-Giant Prince Amukamara.  For the past two seasons, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie has been the lone bright spot in the secondary.  If Jenkins can anchor the other side of the field, something Amukamara could not do consistently, he’ll give the defensive line that much more time to get to the quarterback.

Jenkins is a threat to take an interception to the house.  In his career, he’s scored five defensive touchdowns.  That big-play component on defense has an immeasurable effect on a football game.
