Francesa on the Fan: Giants did not do the right thing about Josh Brown’s case

WFAN’s legendary voice of New York sports Mike Francesa spent a moment pondering the investigatory process of the New York Giants regarding soon to be listed as unpopular defendant in a civil and criminal lawsuit Joshua Brown’s alleged domestic violence committed against his spouse, Molly Brown.

According to Nygiants.com, the team released an official press statement regarding the matter:

"“Josh Brown will not travel with the team to London. In light of the news reports regarding the documents released by the State of Washington yesterday, we think it makes sense to review this newly disclosed information and to revisit this issue following our trip to London. The Giants do not condone or excuse any form of domestic violence.  Josh has acknowledged that he has issues in his life and has been working on these issues through therapy and counseling for a long period of time.”We remain supportive of Josh and his efforts."

In a thoughtful presentation to his listening audience this afternoon broadcast through the five boroughs, Francesa expressed incredulity and scorn as to the manner in which John Mara instructed his staff to determine the veracity of the allegations against the heralded field-goal kicker.

Per NJ.com, Francesa expressed that the Giants should be ashamed of their policies and procedures.

"“Don’t say you have an informed decision … we went back and looked at what they said at the time when they stuck by him […] We received all the information[…]We’re comfortable with our decision. These aren’t black and white situations, there’s a lot of gray here.'”"

“Oh really?,” Francesa asked as he famously calls upon his listeners to think independently.

"“Bottom line is afterwards when it shows the penalty in now way fits his actions, you come out and complain that you didn’t get the information that you needed? Well why didn’t you say that at the time?”"

The Giants have announced through an unidentified spokesperson that Josh Brown will not be boarding the flight to London’s Twickenham Stadium, which is home to the Twickenham rugby team and hosts business meetings and luncheons throughout the week.

The Giants have no intentions of inviting Mike Francesa to their front office or appearing on Francesa’s show tomorrow afternoon.
