More attention should be about poor management and in-house problems
Tenth, fans have been distracted by the controversy surrounding bad actors that they do not see the wide scale problem caused by poor management at the top of the organization. John Mara, Jerry Reese and Ben McAdoo are the chief officers of the Giants because they are involved in the major areas of the organization as a whole.
Yet, the crises caused by the unpredictable aspects of Beckham and the character flaws of Brown have stolen the attention from the issues that really matter. Namely, fans have to wonder why the Giants are the only team in the league today that is struggling to maintain a winning season and has a public image of condoning players’ temper tantrums so long as they don’t break a penal law and allowing players to break penal laws as long as they don’t interfere with the officiating of the game.
From management’s perspective, the Giants have long known about Beckham’s unsportsmanlike behavior and Brown’s failings as a person and have tried to not let these issues become a distraction before the sea on started. The Giants did appear to have a strong start against Dallas and New Orleans which cannot be forgotten.
