Adrian Peterson

Age: 31 (3/21/1985)
Experience: 10 Seasons
2016 Season Statistics: 3 GP, 37 ATT, 72 YDS; 3 REC, 8 YDS

Adrian Peterson may be the most physically dominant running back in NFL history. Unfortunately, even the mighty All Day could have trouble recovering from a torn meniscus when he enters the 2017 season at 32 years of age.

It would be tough to blame New York Giants general manager Jerry Reese for taking a chance on Adrian Peterson, but the issues must be acknowledged.

Peterson ran for 1,485 yards and 11 touchdowns on an average of 4.5 yards per carry during the 2015 season. That offers some glimmer of hope, but the Giants must weight the fact that he’ll be 32 years of age and working on a right knee that has been surgically repaired on multiple occasions in 2017.

Though the Giants may seem like a long shot, Peterson has teased interest in joining Big Blue on his official Twitter account.

Whether or not you believe Peterson was being honest or attempting to pressure the Vikings into re-signing him, this is an intriguing development.

Peterson will enter 2017 with 11,747 career rushing yards and 97 career rushing touchdowns. He also has 241 career receptions, 1,945 career receiving yards, and five career receiving touchdowns, thus displaying his offensive versatility.

Peterson has long struggled with fumbles, but he has the natural talent to single-handedly revamp the Giants’ offense.
