Our evaluation of the top free agent options at every position continues with the wide receiver position. Which players would best fit the New York Giants?

The New York Giants are as strong at the wide receiver position as just about any team in the NFL. Odell Beckham Jr. is one of the Top 5 wide receivers in the league and Sterling Shepard flashed star potential during his rookie season in 2016.

In the spirit of evaluating every positional group in free agency, however, it’s worth noting that there are a number of dynamic wide receivers available on the open market.

With Beckham outside and Shepard in the slot, the Giants have quite the receiver corps already. Unfortunately, New York ranked No. 17 in the NFL in passing yards and No. 13 in passing touchdowns.

With Victor Cruz departing, improving the passing attack will be more complicated than the crucial task of facilitating the development of Beckham and Shepard.

Cruz recorded 39 receptions for 586 yards, one touchdown, and 25 first downs in 2016. Not only will New York be tasked with replacing his production, but it will also need to fill his void from a leadership and accountability perspective.

Based on how they would fit with the New York Giants, one question beckons: who are the best free agent wide receivers on the open market?
