Andre Holmes

Age: 28 (6/16/1988)
Experience: Five Seasons
2016 Season Statistics: 16 GP, 14 REC, 126 YDS, 3 TD

Andre Holmes has gone from an undrafted free agent to a five-year NFL veteran. Standing at 6’4″ and 210 pounds, he’s a big-body wide receiver who can go up and compete for jump balls, and make plays in the red zone.

Holmes hasn’t produced the most inspiring of numbers during his five-year career, but he has natural ability that can be valuable in a No. 3 role.

Holmes proved to have big play ability during the 2013 season, when he amassed 431 yards on an average of 17.2 yards per reception. He then caught 47 passes for 693 yards and four touchdowns in 2014, thus further establishing his status as a vertical threat.

Holmes’ production and snap counts have plummeted in the two seasons that have followed, but he’s still managed to record seven touchdowns over the past two seasons.

The appeal in signing Holmes is that the contract would be reasonable and the risk would be limited. Odell Beckham Jr. and Sterling Shepard will receive a lion’s share of Eli Manning’s targets, which would create single coverage and mismatches for Holmes to exploit.

Signing Holmes would only make sense for the Giants if it’s for a low cost, but if that opportunity presents itself, it could be a quality move.
