Kevin Zeitler

Position: Guard
Age: 26 (3/8/1990)
Experience: Five Seasons
Previous Team: Cincinnati Bengals

The second Cincinnati Bengals offensive lineman to appear on this list is guard Kevin Zeitler. Perhaps the best player whom no one talks about, Zeitler is a force to be reckoned with along the interior of the offensive line.

If the New York Giants are looking to find immediate value in pass and run protection, then there isn’t a better guard than Zeitler to pursue.

In a division with the vaunted Dallas Cowboys, a combination of Justin Pugh and Zeitler could hold its own. Zeitler is one of the Top 10 guards in the NFL and there isn’t an area in which teams can consistently exploit him.

Zeitler is superb in pass protection and strong in creating lanes for running backs, which is the perfect combination of skills for this run-deprived team.

The problem with signing Zeitler could be the cost, as he’s both young and established. Though he hasn’t made a Pro Bowl appearance yet, it seems as though it’s only a matter of time—and winning—before the 26-year-old does so.

Paul Perkins needs an interior that will create running lanes, and the combination of Pugh, Zeitler, and Weston Richburg would do exactly that.
