Projected to be drafted in round 4-6 is the University of Michigan product De’Veon Smith.

Smith’s numbers suffered in 2016 due to splitting carries, but still managed 4.7 yards per carry. Overall, he had 846 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns. Not too shabby for 50 percent of the carries.

Smith is a downhill runner and has the ability to make tacklers miss. He can cut into the open field for big gains as he has good vision. His tough mentality would be a nice fit into the New York Giants running back tandem as they are in need of a back with some power.

His blocking skills are solid and can catch out of the backfield which is a huge plus. Smith was invited to the Senior Bowl in 2016, where he showed he is more than capable of taking on an NFL size load.
