2. On Paper: Unstoppable Receiving Corps

On paper, the New York Giants have what may be the best receiving corps in all of American football. Odell Beckham Jr. is a superstar of Top 5 status, Brandon Marshall could be a Hall of Famer, and Sterling Shepard had an excellent rookie season.

Throw a playmaking tight end like Evan Engram into the mix and Eli Manning could have four legitimate go-to options on every passing down.

In just three seasons, Beckham has amassed 288 receptions for 4,122 yards and 35 touchdowns—and he’s done so while missing five games. Marshall has upwards of 12,000 career receiving yards, and had 1,502 yards and 14 touchdowns as recently as 2015.

Even Shepard brings production to the table after hauling in 65 catches for 683 yards and eight touchdowns during his rookie season.

That trio alone would rank amongst the best in the NFL, but Engram adds an entirely new dynamic. Cornerbacks and safeties will struggle to contain his natural strength and size, and linebackers will have a tough time matching his speed.

For perspective:

By adding Evan Engram, the Giants have enabled Eli Manning to lead a genuinely elite passing attack.
