Although Perkins is only in his sophomore season, he was still able to learn behind veteran Rashad Jennings for a majority of 2016.
Despite injuries to Jennings throughout the season, Perkins was capable and willing to expand his role in the offense.

Jennings was a workhorse type of back, and a leader. So it’s safe to assume that he was teaching the ropes to the young Perkins.
Coming into the 2017 with some NFL experience will be crucial to his success.
He will be facing off against some of the NFL’s most feared defenses, but if he sticks to his guns and plays with heart, he has the ability to take over games.
