NFL draft analysts have differing opinions regarding the two-time Heisman finalist. Jackson became the youngest player to win the Heisman Trophy with an incredible 2016 campaign and showed this season that he is no flash in the pan.

The Cardinals 6-foot-3, 211-pound quarterback threw over 3,400 yards and accounted for more than 1,400 yards on the ground for a second consecutive year. In three seasons at Louisville, Jackson amassed 116 total touchdowns. He lead the Cardinals to the 13th highest scoring offense in the FBS in 2017.

Campbell has Jackson listed as the second best quarterback in this year’s draft class, while Kiper and Miller have him ranked seventh and fifth on their respective lists. Jackson has drawn comparisons with former Philadelphia Eagles and Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, and the four-time Pro Bowler said last year that Jackson was five times better than he was at Virginia Tech.

Whether Jackson’s skill-set will translate to the next level is unknown. But there is no question that he should be considered one of the best athletes in this year’s class should he forego his senior year.
