The G-Men are on track to have their highest draft selection since taking Lawrence Taylor with the No. 2 overall pick in the 1981 draft.

That selection worked out fairly well for the New York Giants, as the Hall of Fame pass rusher helped the franchise hoist two Lombardi Trophies and won Defensive Player of the Year three times.

Giants ownership faces their biggest offseason since 2004 when the organization acquired Eli Manning through a trade with the Chargers on draft day. That move also clearly worked out for Big Blue.

The Giants won two Super Bowls behind the clutch play of Manning and the defense in 2007 and 2011. But since winning Super Bowl XLVI, the G-Men have made the postseason just one time.

The Giants fired general manager Jerry Reese and second-year head coach Ben McAdoo after the team’s Week 13 loss in Oakland, and co-owner John Mara announced last week that interviews for the vacant front office position would begin this week.

Big Blue has plenty of crucial decisions to make this offseason. From hiring a head coach to free agency to the 2018 draft, the choices the Giants make this offseason can help shape the future of the franchise.

The Giants’ two biggest decisions they’ll have to make is what to do with the No. 2 overall pick and what to do with their future Hall of Fame quarterback. It’s been a heated debate for Giants fans.

Some are ready to pull the cord on the Manning era, while others believe No. 10 still has enough in the tank to lead Big Blue on another playoff run. Below are three reasons arguing for and against Manning’s return in 2018.
