#6 – Auburn RB Kerryon Johnson
Johnson became a household name in 2017, leading the Tigers to their first SEC West division title since 2013. Auburn’s 6-foot, 212-pound running back posted 100-plus rushing yards against Georgia and Alabama during the regular season, but was unable to recreate his numbers against the Bulldogs in the SEC Championship.
Johnson displayed toughness battling through a ribs and shoulder injury and looks to be on track to play in the upcoming Peach Bowl against an undefeated UCF program. The Tigers star running back accounted for 1,508 total yards and 19 touchdowns in his junior year, but draft analysts are split on his potential at the next level.
Johnson didn’t even crack Miller’s top 10 list, and Kiper has him ranked No. 8 overall in terms of running back prospects. Campbell, on the other hand, has Johnson listed as the fourth best prospect at the position and projects him to be a second to third-round selection.
Johnson will definitely be one to keep an eye on during the draft evaluation process, as he has clearly shot up big boards with his play in the SEC this season.
