CFP Title Game: 11 potential New York Giants draft prospects
By Henry Buggy

#10 – Alabama CB Anthony Averett
Alabama’s secondary is loaded with future NFL starters. Senior cornerbacks Anthony Averett and Levi Wallace may not be the most well-known names on the Tide’s defense but will likely find themselves on NFL rosters this summer.
While Wallace has had the better statistical season in terms of tackles, passes defended, and interceptions, Averett is garnering more attention from draft analysts.
Bleacher Report’s Matt Miller lists Averett as the No. 6 overall player at the position in this year’s draft class and labels him the “best zone coverage” cornerback. Kiper also included the Tide’s 6-foot, 185-pound cornerback in his prospect rankings, listing him as the eighth best player at the cornerback position.
While the Giants seem likely to bring Eli Apple back in 2018, New York will still need to bring in some cornerback competition either through free agency or the draft.
