Signability will play a part in this selection. Two weeks ago, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Rosen was not enamored of the thought of playing for the Cleveland Browns. Many, if not most NFL scouts, prefer Darnold over Rosen anyway, so why re-invent the wheel? At 6-4, 225 lbs., Darnold is solidly built for the rigors of the NFL. When viewing him, it’s hard not to think of Brett Favre. Darnold possesses a cannon arm, and he’s fearless. The gunslinger mentality he exudes will get him in trouble in the early part of his NFL career. As he develops, Darnold will make some plays on Sunday that will have Browns’ fans high-fiving on Lake Erie. He will also make some throws that will give the same fans flashbacks to Tim Couch. Look for him to go No. 1 overall to Cleveland.

Quarterback. USC. Sam Darnold. 1. player. 53.
