Notables:
Uchenna Nwosu, Arden Key, and Harold Landry would all make great fits as 3-4 outside linebackers in Bettcher’s defense. Key arguably has the highest ceiling of the three prospects but did not live up to expectations in Baton Rouge.
Rashaad Penny has proven he can be a three-down back at the next level. The San Diego State prospect shined in the Senior Bowl and has quickly risen up big boards this draft season.
In GMEN HQ’s seven-round mock draft 4.0, Big Blue landed Donte Jackson in the second-round after making a trade with the Buffalo Bills. The 5-foot-11, 178-pound prospect could immediately take over New York’s starting slot cornerback position. He also has the talent to push Eli Apple for the No. 2 cornerback role.
Kolton Miller and Tyrell Crosby are two prospects worth keeping an eye on with the 34th overall pick. Miller has been the biggest riser among offensive tackle prospects. The former UCLA left tackle may have more upside potential, but Crosby is arguably the more pro-ready prospect.
