The New York Giants filled multiple holes this offseason through free agency and the draft.

Despite a greatly improved roster, the G-Men were not able to answer all their needs.

New York Giants general manager Dave Gettleman did his best. He addressed some of the team’s biggest weaknesses in his first offseason, adding players like Nate Solder, Saquon Barkley, and Will Hernandez. At the same time, it would be unreasonable to expect him to fix all of New York’s issues in just a couple of months.

Big Blue’s ownership fired general manager Jerry Reese and head coach Ben McAdoo in-season after a horrendous 2-10 start. The team went on to post a franchise-worst 13 losses and struggled in all three phases.

But there is hope for the Giants in 2018. Gettleman and newly appointed head coach Pat Shurmur have brought a sense of new life to the organization over the past few months. They are building a roster that can win now and have a strong new coaching staff in place.

It won’t be easy for Big Blue to have a quick turnaround next season, but it is possible. The Giants will need their new additions to live to up to expectations while also getting improved play from some of last year’s starters.

Landon Collins, Damon Harrison, and Dalvin Tomlinson were among the few players that stood out for the Giants in 2017.

It’s not as though the Giants don’t have talent. They just need players already on the roster to step up. Here’s a look at the top 10 players Big Blue needs to step up in 2018, especially if they are hoping for a quick turnaround.
