#4 – Brett Jones

The New York Giants are banking on Brett Jones. And Jones will be happily walking to the bank if he steps up his play in 2018.

The former CFL All-Star took over the starting center role last season after Weston Richburg suffered a season-ending concussion. Jones would go on to start 13 games for the G-Men. He proved himself a valuable asset, especially in pass protection.

Gettleman placed a second-round tender on Jones, who was a restricted free agent, while letting Richburg walk in free agency. The Giants did add undrafted free agent Evan Brown, but the starting center role is undoubtedly Jones’ to lose.

Big Blue is hoping Jones can build off his experience from last season. New York will need him to improve as a run blocker.

The 26-year-old is still developing as he enters his fourth season in the league. Gettleman has made it clear that this team is being built to win in the trenches. Jones will play a vital part as to whether that plan will work this upcoming season.
