New York Giants: 5 biggest storylines heading into minicamp

No. 1 – What will the Giants starting O-line look like this week?

Veteran Nate Solder and rookie Hernandez are locked-in starters on the left side of the Giants offensive line barring any unforeseen stroke of bad luck. As for the right side personnel, that’s any one’s guess.

Ereck Flowers has been taking snaps at right tackle and will likely earn the spot in what is certainly his last chance with the New York Giants. Offseason acquisition Patrick Omameh and returning lineman John Greco will challenge John Jerry for the right guard position. Chad Wheeler is also looking to make a run somewhere while Jon Halapio and Brett Jones duke it out at center.

It’s a case of musical chairs for a Giants offensive front that hasn’t been incompetent since 2011. Head coach Pat Shurmur has plenty of depth, which is never a bad thing. He’ll get a good look at his options in minicamp, but once the pads are on, it will be a whole other story.
