The G-Men had arguably two players, Collins and Damon Harrison, who should have been selected. However, Big Blue’s lack of votes came as no surprise.

The New York Giants posted a franchise-worst 13 losses. They were awful in all three phases.

But there is hope for the 2018 season. The Giants have a new head coach in Pat Shurmur and have added a proven defensive coordinator in James Bettcher. General manager Dave Gettleman has addressed some of the team’s biggest weaknesses in his first offseason, but it’s not as though G-Men lacked talent before his arrival.

The Giants clearly underachieved last season. Big Blue had posted a top 10 defense and an 11-5 record in 2016. They had 10-of-11 defensive starters returning, but injuries, poor coaching, and a lack of effort resulted in one of the league’s worst defenses.

The Giants have had more significant personnel turnover this offseason. It has resulted in an upgraded roster. There are still questions that need to be answered, but it wouldn’t be shocking to see this team have a quick turnaround in 2018.

If the G-Men are able to do so, they will have plenty of Pro Bowl candidates. Of course, Odell Beckham Jr., Eli Manning, Janoris Jenkins, and Collins are the first to come to mind, but Big Blue could also have multiple first-time Pro Bowlers in 2018.

The G-Men are stacked with talent on paper. It’s up to the players and coaching staff to prove it on the field. Here’s a closer look at seven potential New York Giants who could become first-time Pro Bowlers this season.

They could prove to be the difference between a quick turnaround or another disappointing season.
