No. 1 – Saquon Barkley

Saquon Barkley taking the top spot on this list is a no-brainer.

Other players on Big Blue’s roster may be more deserving of a Pro Bowl nod in 2018, but don’t forget this also a popularity contest. The rookie running back out of Penn State is already taking the league by storm and has yet to take a snap.

His jersey leads the league in sales, ranking ahead of Carson Wentz, Tom Brady, and Ezekiel Elliott.

Of course, Barkley will have to prove himself on the field. But that seems highly likely given the grades and comparisons he received ahead of the draft.

Pro Football Focus has him listed as the frontrunner for Rookie of the Year. That’s not a surprise. The Giants plan to heavily utilize the 6-foot, 233-pound running back both out of the backfield and as a receiver.

Both Todd Gurley and Elliott were selected to the Pro Bowl in their rookie seasons. Leonard Fournette was not able to keep the trend alive despite amassing 1,342 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2017.

Barkley will play under a much bigger spotlight in the Big Apple. There will be no shortage of criticism should he struggle. But he will also receive plenty of praise and accolades should he succeed.
