No. 2 – Hunter Sharp

Hunter Sharp didn’t join the Giants till late last season, but that didn’t stop him from leaving a lasting impression.

The 5-foot-11, 198-pound receiver quickly made the most of his opportunities, recording five catches for 54 yards and a touchdown in just two games. His lone touchdown reception came in the team’s regular season finale win over the Washington Redskins.

Sharp was reunited with former Broncos wide receiver coach Tyke Tolbert this offseason. The 24-year-old knows how difficult it can be to make an NFL roster and is focusing on helping the team in any way possible, via New York’s team website.

"“I’m just focused on doing whatever I can on special teams to help the team, whether it’s gunner. I’m kind of new to that, but I really, really like it. The return game is something that has always been natural to me. I’m really excited this preseason to see what I can do with the ball in my hands. I’ve been working on my lateral movement, just trying to get off cuts faster and we’ll see if that helps me.”"

The Giants have added some new faces to their receiving corps this offseason. Cody Latimer and Russell Shepard bring plenty of experience. Both also have connections to Big Blue’s new coaching staff.

Roger Lewis is also looking to take on an expanded role after a breakout year in 2017.

The G-Men currently have 12 wide receivers on their roster entering training camp. Look for that number to be cut in half by Sept. 1.
