No. 2 – Eli Manning (QB #23)

Oh, Eli.

If real life career accomplishments could translate to fantasy football relevance, then Manning would be more than a weekly streamer at best. Currently, Manning is undraftable in standard 1-QB leagues, but don’t ignore him completely when he inevitably floats in waiver-wire purgatory to start the season.

All of the New York Giants weapons are back this year, the offensive line is improved and the team’s running game is expected to finish in the top 10. The last time that happened was in 2010 behind the dynamic-duo of Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs.

That year, Manning finished with 331.1 fantasy points behind 4,002 yards passing and 31 touchdowns despite throwing 25 interceptions. That was good enough to be the seventh-best quarterback in fantasy football that season, per FFtoday.com.

It’s a new offense for Manning to adjust to this year with Shurmur calling the plays, but that didn’t stop Case Keenum from finishing as the 14th-best QB in fantasy for 2017. I’m sorry haters, but Manning is a much better quarterback than Keenum and that shouldn’t change in 2018.

If we’re projecting Beckham, Barkley and Engram to be top-five players in their respective positions, it doesn’t make sense to think that the quarterback feeding them will not be close by.
