No. 2 – B.W. Webb

Both B.W. Webb and Donte Deayon deserve to make this list, but Webb is expected to take over the starting role for Apple in Week 3.

Deayon will likely man the nickel cornerback position, where Webb has been excelling this season.

It was a different story on the outside for the five-year veteran after replacing Apple last week. Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott looked to target whoever Webb was covering in the fourth quarter on the way to a 14-play, eight-minute touchdown drive.

The Giants will need the 5-foot-11, 190-pound cornerback to step up his play, as he makes his 12th career start. The Texans have two dynamic receivers on the outside in DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller. Bruce Ellington has also shown the ability to be a playmaker for the Texans offense.

Shurmur is confident in both Webb and Deayon ahead of the Week 3 matchup.

"“I think they have fine receivers, so anybody that we put out there, it’s going to be a challenge, but we’ve got a good plan, we’re confident, and we feel like they’re going to play well.”"

Their play will have a significant impact on the outcome of this game, especially if Webb finds himself one-on-one with deep-threat Fuller on the outside.
