No. 3 – Alec Ogletree/Landon Collins vs. Zach Ertz

Carson Wentz loves his tight ends, and Zach Ertz is off to another hot start in 2018. Despite Philadelphia’s 2-3 record, Ertz and Wentz have quickly re-established their connection.

The 6-foot-5, 250-pound tight end is coming off back-to-back 100-yard receiving performances and will look to keep the streak going at MetLife Stadium Thursday night.

New York’s ability to cover tight ends has vastly improved this season, but they have yet to face a player of Ertz’s ability. The Panthers were without Greg Olsen in Week 5 and none of New York’s first four opponents had a tight end that can take over a game like Ertz.

Alec Ogletree and Landon Collins will have the tough task of covering the Pro Bowl tight end. Ray-Ray Armstrong may also see some snaps lined up across Ertz, and the Giants are well aware of Philadelphia’s dynamic tight ends, as Shurmur noted on Tuesday.

"“They try to utilize their players’ strengths, they throw the ball to the tight ends a lot with Zach Ertz and (Dallas Goedert).”"

Limiting Ertz and Goedert will be key to a Giants victory in Week 6.
