Oregon QB Justin Herbert

Justin Herbert has quickly established himself as the top quarterback prospect in the 2019 draft class. There is still plenty of season left, and with bowl games, the Scouting Combine, and draft visits, players will continue to move up and down draft boards.

But at this point, the Ducks junior quarterback looks like a sure-fire top five pick should he declare for early entry. The 6-foot-6, 233-pound quarterback has thrown 17 touchdowns to five interceptions and is completing 63.1 percent of his passes.

The Giants were on hand to watch his performance against No. 7 Washington on Saturday.

Herbert led Oregon to an impressive 30-27 victory in overtime, but it surely wasn’t his best performance of the season.

Pro Football Focus had him listed as the No. 2 overall draft prospect after the first three weeks of the season. If the Giants are hoping to get their future franchise quarterback in 2019, Herbert might just be the guy.
