No. 6 – The future of Evan Engram

It wasn’t tight end Evan Engram’s fault that he was drafted under false pretense. After all, the “creating mismatches all over the field” narrative was more fiction than fact. The tight end mismatches we’ve seen previously were size mismatches, not speed ones. And let’s be real that Jerry Reese’s attempt to revolutionize NFL football hasn’t succeeded like the analysts predicted. On the other hand, the New York Giants have seen Engram assert himself more effectively in recent games, and that’s a good site to see. He’s caught 14 passes in the past two games without Odell Beckham around, but more importantly he’s improved his reception rate to 71 percent. The coaching staff needs work with Engram on his blocking this off season, and let’s figure out way to get this talented players some touches in the offense in 2019.
