30. “True hybrid linebacker with elite physical traits who has the ability to float between coverage and pass rush duties. Allen’s diverse skill-set could offer a creative defensive mind a fun toy to deploy around the field, but his NFL value will rest in his ability to menace the pocket as 3-4 rush linebacker.” — NFL.com. Edge Rusher. Kentucky. Josh Allen. 3. player

The New York Jets could entertain offers for their No. 3 overall selection, but all things being equal, Gang Green should jump on one of the top defensive players in this draft. Josh Allen was a former two-star recruit who has improved immeasurably at his time at Kentucky. With productive Leonard Williams, as well as space eater Steve McClendon, along the defensive line, Allen can slot opposite linebacker Brandon Copeland. Together with newly signed C.J Mosley and Avery Williamson give the Jets a stout front seven. It may be that Allen may not have reached his full potential, but his great attitude means that the sky is truly the limit for this former Wildcat. The only cause for concern centers around getting Allen into the right system, which the Jets are. There may be pressure on the New York Jets to draft Quinnen Wiliams, but Allen fits coordinator Gregg Williams’ scheme better.
