No. 3 – Golden Tate

By signing a four-year, $37.5 million contract (per Spotrac) with the New York Giants, Golden Tate quickly became the focal point of a revamped passing attack. Tate’s deal came the next day after the Odell Beckham trade, so these two guys are inextricably linked.

Tate failed to reach the 1,000-yard receiving mark last season, after doing so the previous two NFL campaigns. Part of the reason may have been his mid-season trade from the Detroit Lions to the Philadelphia Eagles. Then again, Tate has surpassed the 1,000-yard receiving mark only three times in his nine-year NFL career.

Let’s not confuse Tate with Antonio Brown, however. His strength is as a slot receiver, and he caught 90 or more passes in first four seasons in Motown, according to Pro Football Reference. New York Giants fans should expect volume from Tate, like Steve Smith (New York Giants – circa 2009).
