The New York Giants will take on a handful of talented opposing quarterbacks in 2019. Here are the Top-5 signal callers that could give the G-Men problems.

We are currently living in a Golden Age of quarterback play in the NFL. Offenses are passing dominated, the rules favor less hits on the quarterback, and the overall talent at the position across the league is historically high. With the amount of talented quarterbacks and pass-happy offenses around the league, every team will have their hands full with various signal callers over the course of the 2019 season, and the New York Giants are no exception.

In 2018, the New York Giants’ defense struggled in passing game. Injuries to the secondary and a lack of a pass rush hurt the unit all season, as the Big Blue defense would finish 23rd in the league in passing yards allowed per game with 252.

Taking on players like Deshaun Watson, Drew Brees, Cam Newton, Matt Ryan, and Andrew Luck, it’s not hard to see why an inexperienced, mediocre secondary was a weak point of the team.

The poor play of the secondary couldn’t be ignored, and after the loss of All-Pro safety Landon Collins to division rival Washington, there were large, immediate holes that needed to be addressed by the front office.

Thankfully, Dave Gettleman and company did just that.

On the back-end of the defense, a young, dynamic player in Jabrill Peppers was brought in to join free agent signing and veteran Antoine Bethea.

In the 2019 NFL Draft, cornerbacks Deandre Baker, Julian Love, and Corey Ballentine all joined the G-Men defense, teaming up with veteran Janoris Jenkins and former supplemental draft pick, Sam Beal.

The secondary overhaul brings about a young, energetic feel to the New York Giants’ defense – a unit looking to improve top-to-bottom during James Betcher’s second year as defensive coordinator.

If any position group needs to step up and improve in 2019, it will be the secondary, who faces a tough slate of talented, play-making quarterbacks this season.

With that, let’s take a look at the five best quarterbacks the New York Giants will face in 2019:
