4. Carson Wentz, Philadelphia Eagles – Weeks 14 & 17

When healthy, there is no denying that Carson Wentz is one of the best up-and-coming quarterbacks in the NFL. Despite missing eight games over the last two seasons, he’s still thrown for 54 touchdowns and only 14 interceptions while completing 65% of his passes.

With over 500 rushing yards to his name, Wentz is more athletic than some might give him credit for, and his ability to extend plays and turn nothing into something is comparable to Aaron Rodgers.

Since entering the league in 2016, Wentz, and the Eagles in general, have given the New York Giants problems. In his five career starts vs the G-Men, Wentz is 4-1 with respectable numbers to back that record up.

  • 107/166 (64%)
  • 90.6 QBR
  • 1,206 yards
  • 6 touchdowns
  • 3 interceptions
  • 9 sacks

He might not be torching the Big Blue defense – averaging only 240 yards through the air – but Wentz is incredibly efficient and doesn’t make many mistakes. Being able to extend drives and keep games close is a key reason for that 4-1 record, as three of those wins were by five points or less.

The Philadelphia Eagles are always a tough division opponent, and it doesn’t get any easier playing them twice in the final four weeks. Slowing down Wentz and the Eagles’ offense could potentially pave the way for two late season division victories.
