2. Orleans Darkwa

This is a name all Giant fans should be familiar with, as Orleans Darkwa played a big part of that lousy 2017 lost-season, although none of that was his fault. Darkwa actually deserves a ton of respect for doing as well as he did, considering he was running behind one of the worst offensive lines in recent memory.

Darkwa somehow-managed to put up 751 yards on a beefy 4.4 average, while scoring five touchdowns. Most figured that Darkwa would receive a solid offer in free agency, but for one reason or another, it never came. Darkwa ended up devastatingly-tearing his Achilles in 2018 October workout for the Jaguars, and not much has been heard about him since – he was cleared to return to action well-before the start of 2019 training camps.

There was news of Darkwa working out with Ezekiel Elliot during the Dallas Cowboys’ star’s infamous holdout as recently as earlier this month, so he clearly is attempting to stay in football shape. The move would cost the team almost-nothing – it would seem- and although he doesn’t know the team’s current system, at least there is some familiarity. The big-bodied back would compliment the shifty Wayne Gallman well.
