The New York Giants head into Thursday’s matchup with the New England Patriots completely beat up. Here’s the low-down on the key offensive players’ injury statuses.

To say this is not the situation head coach Pat Shurmur wanted to be in as the team gets ready to take on the NFL’s best defense is the understatement of the century. The New York Giants offense is now as beleaguered as any unit in the sport, as the ‘offensive mastermind’ will have to get creative to coax any results out of his offense. If you’re looking for something positive, the woeful Big Blue ‘D’ is actually very healthy heading into the contest (sorry, I tried).

While there was initially hope that 2018 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, Saquon Barkley, would  beat the original injury timetable and possibly suit up against the Pats, Barkley has now been officially ruled out. Big Blue was not only beat up on the scoreboard last Sunday against  the Vikings, but physically, too. Tight end Evan Engram, wide-receiver Sterling Shepard and runningback Wayne Gallman all sustained injuries that have proved to be too much to overcome on a short work week.

Here’s an in-depth look at where each of those players stands injury-wise, and when we could hope to potentially see them back.
