New York Giants General Manager Dave Gettleman will have his hands full with getting Big Blue on the fast track back to competitiveness this offseason. The good news is there will be some very attractive pieces on the open market.

The New York Giants currently have a record of 2-8, through 11 weeks of the NFL season, a clear indicator that they have many needs to fill in an effort to become a true contender next year. Luckily, the Giants have a solid core of young players, a great deal of draft capital and will enjoy the benefit of salary cap space. As a result, they should be able to retool their roster to make it more competitive going forward.

At the time of this piece, Big Blue figures to have 63M$ in cap space in 2020 (according to Sportrac), and that number is only expected to rise as there are multiple high-priced veterans that are expected to be moved on from. While that number is far from the highest in the league, it certainly allows the team to be in the market for some premier talent.
