4th round selection: Charles Snowden-Linebacker, University of Virginia

After enduring a thin linebacker corps for the better part of the season, the New York Giants recognize the importance of having depth at the position and draft Charles Snowden out of Virginia. The sheer size of the 6’7″, 235 pound Snowden can create havoc for offenses. He is extremely lengthy and is able to use his big frame to break up passes and wrap up the ball carrier.

Snowden is raw in terms of his pass rushing ability, but has the size, strength and athleticism to develop into a solid pass rusher in time. In addition, he is a bit thin for his height, so adding a bit of mass to his frame would help him tremendously in run defense. Adding another young, talented linebacker to a group of Carter, Ximines, Ryan Connelly, and Rice would be a vast improvement over their current situation.
