A thin but explosive pass rusher, Utah State’s(formerly TCU’s) Tipa Galea’i offers enough to warrant a late-round pick to see what a team might be able to get out of him. At 6’5″, he has ideal height, but barely weighs in over 230 pounds, which is woefully low for a rusher of his size. Not only that, Galea’i’s pass rush is limited to bending around the edge and beating offensive tackles with speed. He has not developed his pass rush skillset or his hands well enough to be an immediate starter. In the end, Galea’i is a project that can pay off if he can put on weight and improve his hands quite a bit.
