2. Mike LaFleur

Mike LaFleur isn’t necessarily a big name around coaching rumors at the moment, but I expect that to change soon. LaFleur has spent the last 5 seasons under Kyle Shanahan in Cleveland, Atlanta, and San Francisco. While we don’t know much about him as an actual play-caller, we know that he has been learning under highly-touted play-designer and play-caller Kyle Shanahan. The fact that Shanahan has brought LaFleur with him from job to job suggests that he has shown potential.

LaFleur has been the Passing Game Coordinator in San Francisco since Kyle Shanahan took the head coaching job in 2017. Since then, the 49ers have had just one year with a healthy Jimmy Garoppolo under center and it’s been this year, where he’s put together his best season as a pro. The biggest hope for Mike LaFleur would be that he could bring some of the passing concepts Kyle Shanahan has created to scheme receivers open.
